GBG’s Chief People Officer named one of the most influential LGBT+ executives globally

James Miller features in the OUTstanding Top 100 LGBT+ Executives Role Model List for the fourth time

NOVEMBER 09, 2022, LONDON – James Miller, Chief People Officer (CPO) at GBG, the experts in digital location, identity verification and fraud software, has been named as one of the most influential LGBT+ leaders in the world on the OUTstanding Top 100 LGBT+ Executives Role Model List 2022.This is the fourth time James has been recognised by INvolve for his achievements as an LGBT+ role model.

The annual list - which is presented by Yahoo Finance and curated by INvolve, an organisation that champions diversity and inclusion in the workplace - showcases and celebrates global LGBT+ business leaders and allies who are driving positive change to create more inclusive workplaces across the world and inspiring the next generation of diverse talent.

As CPO, James has led GBG’s Global People Strategy since 2015, fostering a culture of equality and inclusion to bring together the best and most engaged team. The strategy is designed to celebrate and welcome a diverse workforce, empowering all team members to feel comfortable being their authentic selves at work.

With more than 1,250 team members across 17 countries, James uses his executive position to drive programmes that nurture a working culture that proactively supports everyone. In its most recent employee engagement survey, conducted by Gallup, 95% of current team members said they “would recommend GBG as a great place to work”.

James is the Chair of GBG’s internal diversity and inclusion programme, ‘be/yourself’, as well as the Executive Sponsor of its Sexual and Gender Identities Chapter. As part of this, James personally delivers, and empowers others to deliver, webinars, companywide Q&A sessions and blogs to drive conversation and change for the LGBT+ community. James recognises the difference he can make through his role by sharing his expertise and tools to drive change as well as his values-driven approach to create a workplace where everyone can succeed.

Externally, James is an avid speaker, sharing both his professional and personal perspectives to effect change. Additionally, James mentors LGBT+ colleagues, is an active member of McKinsey’s Alliance group of prominent LGBT+ leaders.
