Helping customers flag fraud, reduce friction and build their business, Atlanta-based Lauren is at the heart of our IDology team.

What do you do at GBG?

I’m an assistant product manager here at IDology, a GBG company based in Atlanta. I work with teams across the business to innovate and evolve identity verification solutions that help our customers drive revenue, remove friction, and fight fraud.

What’s it like working across teams?

The team atmosphere is very uplifting – each team member is like part of a family who wants to see you succeed because if one person succeeds, we all become better for it. When my team faces challenges we all band together to face them and support each other in overcoming the challenge and I think this is such a special way to grow together.

What’s the biggest challenge facing customers?

As the digital economy grows and grows, fraudsters are becoming more sophisticated and technologically advanced, coming up with new ways to defraud legitimate businesses. Staying in front of and combatting new fraud trends is a continuous challenge for customers. Internal data reviews are an essential part of finding out new fraudulent activity – at IDology we work with our customers to innovate ways to flag and prevent emerging fraud trends.

Have you flagged any new fraud trends recently?

Yes, our IDology team recently created new flags to alert customers that the area code of the mobile number provided does not match the located document state, input state, located state or located IP state. As mobile device use continues to increase, flags like these that compare data are a great and easy way to identify and prevent fraud for our customers.

What do you love about life at GBG?

My life at IDology brings me so much support and encouragement to be my best self, both in and outside of work. The remote and flexible work policy that GBG has provided has helped me to balance my life better – knowing that I can work when and where I want has helped reduce stress and fit my life around work.
