GBG win at EGR B2B Awards

The prestigious EGR B2B awards were held on Tuesday (6th June) evening in London. In a crowded list of nominees, GBG emerged victorious in the Fraud and Compliance Solution category; it’s a real achievement and I could not be prouder!

GBG is changing and adapting to the needs of the both the sector and our global gaming client base. Whilst there is a long way to go, to win in this award is the ultimate recognition that we are heading in the right direct.

GBG has supported the remote gambling sector for over 15 years, initially in the UK but now across the world. Significant customer wins mean that we are now representing over 70% of the Power 50 gambling and betting operators around the world, using identity data and technology intelligently across the entire customer journey. We continue to support gambling operators in onboarding and engaging with players from permitted jurisdictions without relaxing the compliance rules that protect against financial crime or socially irresponsible gambling.

At GBG we know operators have embraced the idea of using data for a competitive edge. However, we believe organisations continue to struggle to generate value from the data they collect across their business, particularly data collected for the purposes of meeting regulatory obligations. So, whilst fraud and compliance was at the heart of our submission, what seems to have resonated most with the judges is how we are working with our client base, joining up solutions and developing enhancements that enable them to engage with their customers more effectively whilst protecting all parties involved.

Collaboration is key to this success; both in how GBG’s internal teams have worked together and critically how clients like Tabcorp have engaged passionately when it comes to raising the bar in areas like compliance, social responsibility, and customer engagement.
