GBG Challenge

GBG is a global company, and our people are our greatest asset, so it holds that we should bring them together in order to raise money for charity. Each year, all of our team members vote on a charitable cause to support, and then local teams arrange fundraising events. We also organise the GBG Challenge – a series of events across all of our major locations in which our team members undertake enduring physical challenges. As well as helping us to raise money for our chosen cause, it allows our team members to work together towards a common goal, either taking on the challenge itself or in a vital supporting role.

The cause

We offer all of our team members the opportunity to vote on a cause to support each year, and then local teams raise funds for charities in their areas. This year, we have chosen to support charities which help the homeless. Homelessness is an ever-present issue all over the world, and we’re proud to be doing our part to help people left without a home in the UK, USA, China, Malaysia, Turkey, Spain and other locations across the globe.

The challenge

We run a series of challenge events that include hiking, mountain climbing, cycling and other activities. Our team members can also contribute by getting involved in organising and supporting those completing the sporting tasks. There's plenty of space to get involved, have fun and collect money for a good cause!

To date, we have organised a variety of different fundraising activities, from the GBG Challenge itself to sleep-outs, marathons, sports tournaments and more. Through these efforts, we have raised more than £175,000 for various charities in the past few years alone, and that figure only continues to grow.
