Data Management Policy Statement
GB Group plc ('GBG') takes a proactive approach to promoting best practice and consumer privacy to its customers. - GB Group plc ('GBG') is a member of the Direct Marketing Association, whose mission is to raise the stature of the direct marketing industry - giving the consumer trust and confidence in direct marketing (www.dma.org.uk).
- GB Group plc ('GBG') uses the codes and guidelines from the Data Protection Act, Advertising Standards Authority, Direct Marketing Association, Direct Mail Accreditation & Recognition Centre and Mailing and Telephone Preference Services.
- Each customer of GBGroup plc will have their own perspective on issues according to the way they wish to apply the data to their own business. Any concerns that customers or prospective customers may have can be taken up with GB Group plc ('GBG') or the appropriate authority.
Users of the GB Group plc ('GBG') web site can be assured that the protection of privacy and confidentiality is given the highest priority. All personal information that is collected, held and used complies with the Data Protection Act 1998.
GB Group plc ('GBG') does not collect any individual identifier information from web site visitors other than information that is knowingly and voluntarily given. The only anonymous information collected is the number of users visiting the site and which are the most popular areas of the site.

The information collected will be used to contact you with further relevant communications, however you can inform GB Group plc ('GBG') at any time if you no longer require information to be sent.

The use of UK phone data
The UK Telephone Number Database (an extract from BT OSIS) can only be used within GBG products for the purposes of telephone appending or telephone A-Z listings search. The terms validation and verification refer to GBG's Identity Management product and service offerings. For the avoidance of doubt GB Group plc ('GBG') does not refer to any of BT's products and services where it uses the terms validation and verification.
ID Verified by GB Group plc ('GBG')
What does the ID Verified by GBG badge mean?
The site using the badge is a GBG client. The badge confirms that the client's customer has been officially checked and verified by GB Group plc ('GBG').
GBG's Identity Verification solutions give you the highest possible degree of confidence that the person you are talking to really is who they say they are - globally. Powered by GBG's innovative ID3 technology, GBG provides unique data matching capabilities that authenticate an individual's identity, within seconds.
Although the process is rigorous, it cannot provide an absolute guarantee against instances of fraud occurring. Consequently, neither GBG or the client using the ID Verified by GBG badge can accept responsibility for any loss, liability and damage that may be incurred by users of any site using the ID Verified by GBG badge.
