UK and overseas criminal record checks

Perform criminal background checks in the UK, and in 54 countries. Choose between enhanced, standard and basic disclosure levels of criminal record check dependent on the type of job role.

Ensure your organisation only requests the legitimate level criminal background check so you remain compliant with the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act, FCA Certification Regime, Airside checks, PCI DSS, BS7858, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).

National Insurance number checks

Verify in seconds whether an applicant's National Insurance number is valid or not, and in the correct format for the HMRC prefix. You'll also be able to confirm whether or not it's a permanent or temporary number.

Driving licence checks

Driving licence checks enable you to quickly access your employees' driving history and display your drivers’ details including any endorsements or points, current disqualifications, expired licences or categories, revoked licences, provisional licences, vehicle category entitlement, address mismatches and any restrictions. You can even collect a candidate's consent electronically and via a pre-printed mandate upload.

Make sure you comply with the Duty of Care at Work Act, ensuring your drivers are entitled to drive their vehicle and that their driving licence is valid.

Global media search

Search global media databases to reveal any adverse publicity reported regarding an individual in the global press within the past 10 years. 32,000 global news and information sources are covered, in 28 languages from 200 countries, in addition to 35 years worth of articles, analyst reports and tweets. 60% of the key sources aren't on the free web.

You can also search a global database of official government sanctions lists, watch lists, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) lists and terrorist lists to reveal if an applicant is listed and/or has been involved in any serious financial crimes.

PEPs, sanctions & enforcement checks

Access a comprehensive database of over 4 million high risk individuals and over 1 million politically exposed persons (PEPs), using human intelligence over a period of ten years to identify individuals subject to regulatory sanctions or enforcements, known terrorists, money launderers, fraudsters, PEPs and black-listed persons.

Performing PEPs and sanctions checks helps you to comply with the FCA Certification Regime.

Adverse financial checks

Check publicly available data to reveal any adverse information about an applicant, including if they have any County Court Judgments (CCJs), bankruptcies, Scottish decrees, voluntary arrangements or administration orders.

Bank account check

Check and confirm that an applicant's account details and account holder information are correct and consistent with source bank information. Right To Work checks

Every employer must validate a person’s identity at the start of the recruitment process and obtain a valid statutory excuse. You need to check, copy and retain original Government issued documents to demonstrate Right To Work. You should consider the type of check required for the level of security you wish to introduce and generate a culture of honesty and integrity. Detect fake, forged and counterfeit identity documents from all over the world, and use facial recognition to match a document to the person.

Identity checks

Verify an individual’s full name and date of birth at their address - in seconds. To obtain a pass, the identity must match against at least two separate data sources (with a DOB match at least once). Access a wealth of data sources including edited electoral roll, credit header data, landline telephone directory and National ID Register. You can also check an individual against the mortality and National Change of Address database to check for indications of potential identity fraud.
